Capt'n My Capt'n were a fast guitar driven melodic hardcore/punk band from Newcastle Australia. Formed in 2004 the band went through quite a few line up changes, 3 bass players and 7 guitarists before finding the right line up. The main line up for the majority of the bands time was, Guy: Vocals Dan: Drums Chad: Guitar Rohan: Guitar Shane: Bass Shane later left the band and moved interstate and was then replaced by Junior from Case For Jefferson. The band released a Split C.D. with another former Newcastle band Drifting Over Brooklyn, They then went on to release their debut 6 track E.P. titled Lest We Regret. The band also had tracks on the NCHC compilation which showcased all the local hardcore bands at the time. The last tracks the band recorded was released as a split 7" with Newcastle band Crosscheck which also Featured Dan on drums.This was to be the bands final release. All releases from Capt'n My Capt'n were done through the Darken Records Label. The band toured extensively between 2005 and 2007 sharing the stage with bands such as Municipal Waste, The Unseen,Just Say Go, The Dead Walk and many more. Capt'n My Capt'n broke up in 2008 but reformed for one last show in 2009 in Newcastle as a farewell show and for the release of the split 7" with Crosscheck. The band was always fun to watch and known for getting dressed up for no particular reason.It was defintaely a band that just wanted to have fun and that came across in their live shows.
