History : Formed at the end of 1999, Cankered Corpse released their anger and power in death metal style. The band is from a historic city Xi'an, which shocks the whole world by Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Dynasty. Now prepare to be shocked by their ultra brutal works. From the initial band members only Lu Xiao Yang is still present, due to several lineup changes that happened until 2001. In May 2001, Cankered Corpse recorded and distributed their selfproduced demo CD "Mayhem" (500 pieces) and played for the first live in Xi'ans 8 1/2 Bar. Looking back to this event the band has to give their thanks to the owner as this was their career kickoff. July 2001, the band went to Chengdu to play in the Little Bar. October 2001, one song of Cankered Corpse' demo CD is chosen to appear on Mort Productions "Resurrection of the Metal Gods". November 2001, the band plays on the release festival of "Resurrection of the Metal Gods" in Tianjin. May 2002, Cankered Corpse played live at the Zhengzhou music festival. October 2002, Cankered Corpse played together with Ritual Day during the Chongqing beer festival. Even though they are quite well known in China, Cankered Corpse band members still have jobs of their own to support their life.
