Canada Water is a band from Bournemouth, England. The name of the band was inspired by the freshwater lake and wildlife refuge in Rotherhithe in the Docklands of South East London, near to where the band once stayed for a week in a one bedroom flat. In 2009 Canada Water released the 4 track EP 'One Shot Farewell'. The EP was recorded and produced in Harrow, London at The Rock Factory by Frankie Torpey (Blitz Kids, This City). A follow up single 'The Better Half Of Me' was later released in 2011. "Perfectly polished pop-punk. There’s a real sense of unity, with gang vocals and sing-along choruses aplenty, there’s definitely promise for this quintet." - Rock Sound Magazine 'Mixing equal parts Four Year Strong and early Motion City Soundtrack - we're quite impressed, they could be the next You Me At Six in the UK' - Alternative Press Magazine "The band would be a great addition to any pop-punk aficionado's library."- AbsolutePunk.net "Canada Water nail the sound and will leave you with a smile on your face - and if that sounds like your thing, Canada Water could well be the band for you." - Punktastic.com User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
