Calling All Monsters sound more unique than you might think, you idiot. Try and describe them - go ahead! I dare you! That's right, you're afraid. Afraid because they sound something like a dump truck full of old Sub Pop albums smashing into San Diego's burgeoning music scene (in San Francisco). Did I mention that Jason Loewenstein and Mark E. Smith were driving said dumptruck? Well, they were. But they're dead now. Calling All Monsters killed them. And they'd do it again, too.
