Call It A Day: A Bolton/Manchester based band. Current Members: NICKY WAN (Lead Vocals/Guitar) VINCENT TAO (Lead Guitar) JONNY BASS (Bass/Backing Vocals) JAKE GREVILLE (Drums). Previous Members: Ross Keat (Synth/Backing Vocals), David Lawson (Bass/Backing Vocals), Benji Collinson (Bass/Backing Vocals) BIO: Nicky Wan, Vinnie Tao, Jake Greville and previous bassist Dave Lawson met at Bolton School Boys' Division where they attended Secondary School and College together. "Call It A Day" was formed in September 2005 from a previous band called "Mention My Suicide" including Wan, Tao, Greville and Lawson and additionally Mat Wilkinson on aggression vocals. Due to a change in musical style however, the band moved on and changed their name. After their formation, Call it a Day gigged for a number of years at local venues such as Soundhouse and the Blue Boar, building up a small but loyal fanbase, before moving on to larger venues in the nearby Manchester music scene. The most notable of these Manchester shows was Manchester Academy 3 on the 20th of March 2007, which marked their transition from 'just a local band', to 'up and coming musicians'. The band now regularly plays in and around Manchester at venues such as Music Box and Satan's Hollow, and also often in Huddersfield and the surrounding areas, where both Wan and Tao attend university.
