Cal Peck and the Tramps are a new band from Perth, who like to blend blues, country and rock and roll together to create their sound. The band is fronted by Callum Peck, who has previously played for The Skeletones and the Impalers. You’ll find Cal isn’t the only familiar face in the group with James from Project Mayhem on Drums and Byron from The Craw and the Bible Bashers on bass guitar. These have plenty of experience under their belt and are ready to knuckle down and make some quality music for the fine folk of Perth, Western Australia. The Tramps were formed half way through 2008, through their mutual love of garage blues and the decision to put a bit of good old fashioned rock n roll back into the Perth music scene. Since their debut at the hydey, Cal Peck and The Tramps have been building a reputation as the band that gets your foot tapping, your hips shaking and your butt on the dance floor. The Tramps recorded a 6 track demo with Andy Lawson at Debaser Studios, which has been doing the rounds to various promoters. Whilst this demo was for promotional use only it’s clear to see these guys are ready for action. The Tramps aren’t short of material either with roughly 20 songs in their ever increasing repertoire, they plan to hit the studio in april to record their debut ep and shortly after there are plans to record and release a debut album. Cal Peck and the Tramps are also starting to generate interest from touring bands with an upcoming support shows with Six Ft H
