Caimán, a dutch band, was founded in 2001 by a group of friends who, in different settings, played with each other for years. Caimán plays Cuban music in the style of Buena Vista Social Club. It is composed according to the Cuban tradition, but mixes this tradition with modern influences. Caimán plays both authentic Cuban songs as their own compositions by Sonia Pérez.
