Café Irlanda is a band from Rio de Janeiro which was born in 2009 with the objective of playing traditional Irish music but with something unique: added elements of Brazilian music and other Celtic nations. The members came about as a result of the very Irish (and Brazilian) habit of friends getting together in bars and pubs to play music. They are: Daniel Sinivirta (Tin Whistle and Irish Flute), Caio Gregory (Mandolim and Vocals), Rique Meirelles (Fiddle), Davi Paladini (Bodhrán) and Kevin Shortall (Guitar).
