Cadaver Graye began in September of 2005. The band was a two piece consisting of brothers, Matthew Collins and Jonathan Collins. Because of the lack of available musicians sharing the same goals, style, and commitment the brothers were forced to find some way to fill the void that having solely a drummer and guitar player created. There had to be some way to fill the space musically. With access to only a couple keyboards, guitars and a drum machine, Cadaver Graye had begun to take shape. The brothers began experimenting with programming additional bass lines and rhythms, and developing the ability to multi-task such as playing multiple instruments at one time all while singing melodies and harmonies. The Night I Was Added the end result. Eventually, Matthew Collins talked long time friend and former band mate, Justin Martin, into giving a couple hours of his time for a jam session with the band. I think it is safe to say they had him at hello. Their styles meshed seamlessly. A-727 and Take It To Step Three were their first creations as a three piece band. Cadaver Graye is continuing their pursuit to introduce their sound to whoever will listen. Lyrically, Cadaver Graye is a biographical narrative with the intent to illustrate life and irony through stories. Most of these stories have been observed and have very little, to no personal meaning to the writer. It is a collection of stories told by a third party, writing in the first person, on accounts witnessed as an onlooker.
