Christopher James Legaspi AKA The Boombox Assassin hails from Hilo Hawaii and currently based out of Hollywood California. His current developments involve production for his 3rd installment release, Excitotoxic out Oct. 2007 from SIQ Records. The unpredictably random approaches to live improvisational sound effects infused with drum based steps, juxtaposed with abrassive and soothing aesthetics provides for a refreshing interpretation of grindcore, ambient soundscape, jazzstep elements. Chris james as many of his peers alongside are a new breed of ableton live and effects processing medium users, helping to forge beyond boundary into new micro realms of electronic productions and live showcases. Currently on tour with Contracu, The Boombox Assassin has a little something for the glitch, ambient jungle, DNB, breakcore, drum n breaks heads with his amalgamation of big IDM sounds.
