Q is a daily program on CBC Radio Canada. Hosted by Jian Ghomeshi, the show is described as "your daily dose of arts, culture and entertainment". Ghomeshi is a broadcaster, writer and musical artist from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Jian has hosted and appeared on various CBC radio and TV programs including The National Playlist, Sounds Like Canada, Zed , Play, The End and The Hour. As a writer, Jian's editorials and opinion pieces have been published in the Sunday Washington Post, The International Herald Tribune, The Globe and Mail, and the Toronto Star. Jian first came to attention in Canada and the United States as a singer, instrumentalist and songwriter in the multi-platinum selling folk-rock group, Moxy Früvous. With the group, he has toured internationally and written top-40 songs such as "Stuck in the 90s," "Sad Girl," and "I Will Hold On." He has shared stages with a variety of artists including Bob Dylan, Bryan Adams, The Tragically Hip, Van Morrison, Ani Difranco and Elvis Costello. More recently, he has released a solo EP entitled 'The First Six Songs...' and is working towards the launch of his debut solo album.
