Calvet is brazilian a band from Brasilia (capital), formed in 2012. It's name refers to Jean Marc Calvet who, in an epiphany episode, had his life saved by art. The band gathers two singers and composers, former members of bands of the alternative rock scence of the capital - Digão and Neto. Marcio Sena (drumer) and Raliba (bass) complete the quartet formation. Lyrics are written in english and their sound is characteristically altern rock and indie rock. Their first EP "Whatever Makes You Free", recorded in 2012, obtained wide acceptance of the local scene, just like the singles released in 2013. "A Spotless Night" is the most recent album, produced by Ricardo Ponte (Espaço Laje) and released in 2015. Calvet is one of the participants bands of the Independent Brasilia Project, being approved for great musicians of the capital, as a initiative of DFTV (Globo TV).
