-C.A.F.B. biography by Peter Kuhn- C.A.F.B. is a Hungarian rock band from Budapest, formed in 1990 by Gabor Hun Szakacsi (today-Sledgeback) and Mike Szita. The group went thru several member changes throughout it’s long career but officially never broke up and released dozens of albums with many music videos. Their 1993 album (“Ne bizz senkiben”) was one of the most respected Hungarian hardcore punk albums, featured C.A.F.B. songs written between 1990 and 1993, by the first and earliest line up of the band. Following the departure of the drummer, the band went on a short hiatus until 1995, when Szakacsi regrouped C.A.F.B. and took a different direction in songwriting. The result was a more media friendly punk rock material with a totally different lineup, which was led by the only remaining original member, Gabor Hun Szakacsi (also known as: Greg, Gabi Hun or Kispunk). Their 1997 album “Zanza” landed the band into the mainstream media of Hungary and Central Europe with the video “Engedj be” which was one of the most important piece of the mid-nineties Hungarian alternative music scene.The video was featured by all major music and entertainment channels of the region (VIVA, Duna TV, ATV and more - including MTV Europe) and charted in the area's alternative music lists.
