Byron was born in Quito Ecuador, the youngest of fourteen children. H grew up in a family where all the children were nurtured and encouraged to love music at a very early age. His father, Dr. Luis Ernesto Mino, was a prominent attorney with many talents. He was a financial advisor, economist, professor and writer. He also played several instruments like the guitar, violin, piano and accordion. Dr. Mino had a deep passion for the United States. He dedicated all of his free time devouring every scrap of information about America. Finally in 1963, he came to visit "The Dream World" U.S.A. Before making his final stop in Wisconsin, he visited Philadelphia, New York, Washington D.C. Winchester Va., Denver and Omaha. His "Dream World" had finally became a reality.
