There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Buzzkill is a New Jersey-based band. Formed in 1990 as Butthead, they changed their name to Buzzkill in 1992 when the MTV character of the same name started getting popular. With a seven-song CDEP on Antidote Records, one full length on Tee Pee Records (Tooth-n-Sole) and numerous compilation contributions, Buzzkill has honed their sound to its most stripped down and raw. 2) Buzzkill are a UK-based band. Drawing influences from artists as diverse as The Sonics, ACDC, Rocket From The Crypt and Rancid, Leeds (UK) five-piece Buzzkill like nothing more than to lay on the swagger, play tight, loud and hard. Buzzkill have a new demo featuring brand new unreleased material that is more mature both musically and lyrically than what has gone before. Having released two CDs on the underground In At The Deep End Records (former home of Gallows) Buzzkill are now looking to work and record with a label who share their passion for rock and roll music. Following 2007's tour of the Czech Republic Buzzkill are not forgetting their fans back home and have booked a UK tour for late November / early December on top of frequent one-off gigs up and down the country. This thirst to play as many shows both at home and abroad will continue into 2008 and they have already been booked to play Prague's Mighty Sounds festival in the summer.
