Buy the Beat is the premier rap and hip-hop group in central Illinois, combining the talents of some of the most endowed musicians to ever hit the mic. The group consists of four official members—A. Cock, A. Wil, Highway Hypnosis, and Marvel, M.D.—while also featuring a number of accomplished guest artists. Working from the beats inspired by Marvel's genius, the rappers work to compose life-changing lyrics—usually in about ten minutes. Each group member contributes something special to the unique style present in every Buy the Beat hot track. A. Cock comes to the group with years of musical experience. One need look no further than Buy the Beat's "Goettel Type Banga" to hear the various styles that Buy the Beat's founding member is versed in. A. Wil is best known for his relentless diss tracks, sparing nobody from his lyrics that have been known to hospitalize victims. Highway Hypnosis' rap career took off upon completion of the track dedicated to Mr. Sly, in which Highway first used the voice and style that he still spits with today. Marvel, M.D. was the last member to join Buy the Beat, signing on after spitting a few tracks one day with the original Buy the Beat members.
