Butch Baldassari (mandolin) and John Mock (guitar, recorders, whistles) have joined forces to perform either Irish or classical music. "Music of O'Carolan" includes some songs from the extensive catalog of Irish harpist/composer Turlough O'Carolan (1670-1737). Their cd "Cantabile: Duets for Mandolin and Guitar" ranges from Bach and Scarlatti to Beethoven and Sor. John Mock is an accomplished classical guitarist, mandolinist, and a master with recorders and whistles. He performs regularly with Kathy Mattea, Nanci Griffith, Maura O'Connell, and the Nashville Mandolin Ensemble. John recorded with Mark O'Connor, James Taylor, Yo-yo Ma, and Wynton Marsalis for Mark O'Conner's Liberty soundtrack, a PBS special documenting the Revolutionary War. In addition to his musical compositions, John is an accomplished self-taught photographer, and his first published collection of photography sho
