Burnside Project is a New York City based electro-pop band. The band members include Richard Jankovich, Gerald Hammill, Paul Searing, Anna Bohichik and Michael Lerner. They transformed from a solo project in 1999, to a duo in 2001, a trio shortly after their album release in 2003 and finally expanded to a five-piece in 2005. The group released their debut, The Networks, the Circuits, the Streams, the Harmonies in 2003 on Bar/None. In 2005, the group released The Finest Example is You. As of May 2007, they were in the studio recording new material. "Cue The Pulse To Begin" also became a top 10 radio hit in Japan when "Networks" was released on SONY/DefSTAR in 2004. The band toured the country in support of the release in Summer of 2004. In 2005, bandleader Richard Jankovich also began making a name for himself remixing and producing under the name "Pocket." To date, he has release "pocket mixes" for Joanna Newsom, Elk City, Mendoza Line, Antony & The Johnsons, Eskobar, Cat Power, Dirty On Purpose and Of Montreal.
