Burning The City were a rock/alternative group from Launceston, Tasmania, Australia who formed in the dying months of 2003 and broke up at the start of 2005. Over the short time span they were together, Burning The City played alongside some of the finest local bands including The Scandal, Stand Defiant and The Uprising, as well as interstate bands such as Away From Now. Along with their great live shows, Burning The City won the award for "Best Hard Rock/Metal Song" with their track "Die Die Die Kill Kill Kill". Burning The City released a self-titled EP as well as a special acoustic CD, which were given out to a small handful of friends. Their self-titled EP would have been produced and sold on a larger scale through Disconnect Records but the band members went their seperate ways before their EP was ever released on the label. As well as the two releases described below, there were a number of single-microphone demo recordings and other miscellaneous recordings which are now either lost or remain in one or another of the band members' posession. -------------------------------------------------- Discography: Release: Burning The City (Self-Titled) Year: 2004 Label: None No. Of Copies Released: 50 Tracklisting: 1.
