about

Burn Proper was started in Los Angeles in 2004. Its members are Topher Hall (lead vocal/guitar) , James Mason (bass), Daniel Sahagun (vocal/ lead guitar), and Juan Ponciano (drums). The band's founding members (Topher and James) hail from Leesburg, Virginia, a small town outside of Washington D.C. After struggling with the reality of a small town existence they decided to drive across the country to Los Angeles as a duo. This would give them a fighting chance to make their lives as musicians. The duo went by the name "Nothing Special" (their old band name in Virginia). They started out by playing open mic and soon met a good manager. It wasn't long before their drummer from Virginia (Juan Ponciano) followed them out west. After securing a steady living situation and artistic presence in Los Angeles, they met the two missing links that would complete the new Burn Proper: lead guitarist Daniel Sahagun, and producer Evan Peters (the man behind the curtain) who have became the motivational force behind the band. Now, with all of its essential elements in place, Burn Proper's goal is to garner the attention of music listeners everywhere. The band is getting ready to lauch their west coast autumn tour.
