Started in 2004 as a way to tell short stories, Burbank International’s first album release, “City of Burbank”, was thought to “draw on the emotions from the dark side of Will Oldham, the complex melodies of Sufjan Stevens and the strange yet simple compositions of Mark Oliver Everett.” (The Deli Magazine, SF) Electronic influences run through the lo-fi textures in Burbank International’s forthcoming EP-length outing, “WARTHOG”, which will be released through Architects + Heroes in 2011. Burbank International is the ongoing recording project of instrumentalist/producer H.A.Eugene, formerly of electronic duo The Luxury Tax, and bassist of the band Anderson Congress.
