Bulldada was comprised of 4 high school friends, Bob Zegler on vocals and didgeridoo/Didgeribone, Chris Lehnert on drums and backing vocals, Ian Baran on guitar and backing vocals, and Jon Chiou on bass and backing vocals. The name was taken from a concept of the Church of the Subgenius, of which Jon is an "unofficial member"(meaning he hasn't submitted his $30 love offering to become ordained as a card-carrying Subgenius.) Bulldada played several local shows with many different types of bands, who were all similar in the fact that they didn't try to follow the mold of what was popular on the radio at that time. While their sound may not have been very polished, several members saw the band more as performance art than mere music anyway. They couldn't care less if anyone that saw them remembered their names or the words to their songs; they were purely satisfied in getting kids to dance and mosh while pounding on their instruments and destroying their vocal chords. With genres like emo, hardcore, screamo, and postpunk being attached to many of the local bands of the time, Bulldada chose "Fuckyoucore" as their description of choice. The shutting down of several local venues and the growing exclusivity of emo/screamo/pop punk shows, along with some inner tension between band members, lead to their ultimate demise. A few mp3's and even some handmade albums and EPs are still floating around out there, and if you're unlucky enough, you just might come upon them. User-contr
