The following is taken from www.myspace.com/buildingonfire: y'know when a band gets really hyped up, and then it gets exposed that they're really not good at all, or ever were? so is the tragic, yet hilarious adventure of five man-boys from newark, new york... between the last weeks of may 2000 until the last 13 hours of a summer tour in 2003, building on fire wrote 22 songs; recorded a 7", a split 7", a full legnth cd, and two cdeps; designed quite a bit of merch that sold better than the music did; played far too many shows, with a few on the trail of poorly planned and executed summer [U. S., east coast, breadbasket midwest] tours; and dropped a few hundred dollars in the newark, new york location of pontillo's pizza. after the dissolution of the band, the members faded out of the rochester hardcore scene, with the exception of guitarist r. antonucci, who continues riffing away in achilles (http://www.achillesband.com).
