Buckeye Knoll Bio April 2009 Buckeye Knoll started in the wilderness of CA while Doug Streblow was backpacking for 2 months in the summer of 2005. During that time he carried with him an acoustic guitar at all times and wrote the songs that would become Buckeye Knoll. He returned to Santa Cruz to finish college and began arranging a band of good friends to bring the songs to life. Enter Cian Riordan on bass and Josh Roman on drums. Together, Buckeye Knoll began recording, playing shows and becoming a real indie/pop/rock band. They played with the likes of the Matches, Self Against City, Street to Nowhere, The Botticellis, Push to Talk, Audrye Sessions, and more. They self produced and released several songs and independent EP's before recording a polished EP with Andy Zenzack at Gadgetbox studios in Santa Cruz, CA. In the Spring of 2007 Buckeye Knoll released their debut self titled EP and toured the Western US in support. In the summer of 2007 Doug attended a graduate school program where he traveled around the US for a year and a half in a converted school bus. During that time, Buckeye Knoll hibernated while Doug traveled and wrote more songs. In between semesters Doug hooked up with bassist Cian Riordan to start penning what would be Buckeye Knoll's debut full length album. In May of 2008 ten days were spent holed up in a small studio in Brooklyn, New York where Doug and Cian arranged and recorded 10 new songs. Then in December of 2008 Cian and Doug set up a studi
