Bubblelux is a NYC indie rock band that pulled into many directions. Past achievements include scoring the second most downloaded song on Rollingstone.com with “Not your Madonna” and playing two insane shows at the iconic rock venue, CBGB’s in NYC before the club moved to Vegas. History Bubblelux have been together and not together and sort of together since 2000. Band members which seem to be in constant rotation are rooted with Tod of Polymatic, Nick Santoro from the influential indie band Manufractured and Shelly Ebner bassist/vocalist from RiseNYC . Shelly & Tod met during a night of excessive partying in a lower east side night club, then followed drummer/musician/Virgin recording artist Chris Root of am60 and Mosquitos. Introduced in 2001 by Chris Root, Tod and Nick who had coincidently both been unceremoniously dumped by their girlfriends that year, spent 2001 crafting a loud deafening sonic signature with a sprinkling of melody most of which ultimately end up on the Punk & Orderly CD. Musical style Bubblelux's own variation of spiky guitar rock draws on influences such as Nirvana, the Breeders, the Smashing Pumpkins, Linkin Park, the Pixies, Joy Division and blues immortal, Lead Belly, of course but the band says that some of these comparisons are just a loose jump off. The drumming on the Bubblelux’s songs is influenced somewhat by the London dance and rock scene while the guitar demonstrates typical indie sharpness with alternative panned chords and
