A key member of the “New Rock” Collective which includes bands Shocked Elevator Family, Gentle Friendly, The Reverends, Hell Brown Kids, Brothers Garcia, and Bleeding Judges, Birmingham born Bryn Bowen compiled his first solo album 'World of Duvet' in mid 2008. As well as guest appearances from various “New Rock” members the album included contributions from Pete Hayes (currently of Echo Lake, formerly of Analphabet and Yellobelly) and Rob Mandefield (Asylum). In early 2009, this time with back up band the Shalfonts, 'Sturt Logic' was released. Since its release The Shalfonts has developed beyond a recording project and played their first show in June 2010. The Shalfonts also released the download single "Midtown to Rural Turbine" in early 2010, followed in August by their second album 'Mjuk Nation'.
