With a growing disregard for false punk and inflated egos, 3 friends assembled to create the music they truly live for. With the demise of their previous band (Cut-Throat Militia) singer Steve dusted off his bass and returned to thier rehearsal space to meet drummer Tez and guitarist Chris to see just how much noise they could create as a trio. With a stripped down set up, riffs were thrown around and a heavy sound established. It was then decided this was the direction they would take. writing songs about the "usual" depressing (yet unfortunately current) subjects such as, War, government oppression, life sciences e.t.c whilst remaining socially aware. Word got out that the three were continuing and no less than nine shows were booked even before the third song was completed, including some high profile shows with some of their heroes Discharge, U.K subs and Cro mags along with a few benefits/charity events. After a month or so trying to decide what to call this outfit, they decided on BRUTAL REGIME leaving the meaning to the discretion of the listener. Some suggest the day to day, nine to five, making ends meet lifestyle, some a third world political standpoint, others as simple as a description of the sound.
