Brunhild Ferrari (born Brunhild Meyer) is a German composer and sound artist. Upon moving to Paris, she worked with Pierre Schaeffer at the Service de la Recherche de l’ORTF. She also worked as a german interpreter and translator. In Paris, she met Luc Ferrari and furthered her studies in music composition. She wrote for many radio broadcasts including France Culture, KPFA-FM Berkeley, California - WDR (Cologne Radio), SWF, and BR (Radio Munich). She is the widow of French composer Luc Ferrari. She has been his closest collaborator for more than forty years. After he passed away in 2005, she took care of the preservation of his vast archives: she founded the “Association Presque Rien - Friends of Luc Ferrari," initiated and organized the biennial competition PRESQUE RIEN by providing artists with original sound material from Luc’s archives, and edited a book with his writings and documents entitled "Musiques dans les spasmes."
