Artist
Browntrout is a punk pop band from Japan. Their songs are mostly in English, but it's not always easy to understand what they are singing. They are heavily influenced by American punk rock, and their first LP - Stepping With Fuzzy Ideals - contains a cover of Bikeage by Descendents in which their heavy "english as a second language" accent comes through. Their melodic, catchy tunes are intricate enough to set them apart from many other Japanese Punk artists that seem to simply try to emulate what they think American punk is like yet fail to execute. Browntrout actually sound like they could've originated in California in the early 90s. Aside from their LP, they have released a few split records and have appeared on a few compilations.
