About his first encounter with Gareth Best, lead vocalist James Armstrong quips, “What are the chances of a white soul singer and a world class guitarist joining the same Community Group in a 4,000 strong congregation?” Well, naturally speaking, the chances are pretty slim. But hey, it’s a God thing. Guitarist Gareth Best was a founding member of the Mighty Blue Kings. James Armstrong (lead vocals) sings like the offspring of Stevie Wonder and Al Green. Brothers Armstrong and Best are joined by Miss Ashlea Tegman on backup vocals, Doug Finefrock (drums), Keegan Williams on bass, Evelyn Salazar (vocals), Caleb Quick of the Moondoggies on keys, and Gwen Bayly of Kissing Potion on sax.
