Artist
Bronisław Huberman (1882-1947) was a Polish violinist born in Czestochowa. He was renowned for his highly individualistic and personal interpretations. Huberman played on the famous Gibson Strad which was stolen from him on two separate occasions. In 1936 he founded the Palestine Orchestra (now: Israel Philharmonic Orchestra). Huberman was the teacher of Eric Rosenblith. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
