Broken Gadget is the solo venture of Tom Wilson, presenting a provocative blend of electronica, found sounds, kazoo, flute, percussion, snake charmer, jaw harp and the haunting lilt of the swanee whistle. Tam's first band was the Noise Assassins formed in 1992 in Brixton in which she played synthesiser. In a change of musical direction he added his percussive skills to a ten piece funk band that came into being in the back of a van on the way to a spit roast in Cornwall. Tim then formed DMT, a four piece beat combo majoring on drum machines and synthesisers popular in the clubs of Brixham. Later musical efforts included Slipped Disco; the Sound Injuries musical exchange and a release on the Mystifying Oracle series of musical calling cards. Tom Waltham is 78.
