Brittney Chantele is a singer-songwriter, storyteller, poet, and activist. She inspires to aspire individuals with her music/poetry emotionally, mentally, and physically. Brittney describes her style as, “movement music,” or, "movement poetry," meaning, it can begin or carry a social movement. Born in Staten Island, NY, and quickly moving to Pittsburgh, PA where she was raised, Brittney developed an admiration for several styles of music. Some of her foundational artists were Michael Jackson, Nas, Amy Winehouse, Bob Marley and Destiny’s Child to name a few. Brittney says her current inspiration comes from artists such as Nahko and Medicine for the People, Rising Appalachia, Dead Prez, Kendrick Lamar, Mick Jenkins, & Luka Lesson.
