After have left from their former band Butelka, Supeł, Kot and Kviatol began their work over some new songs for their new band. On March 16th, 2009 the search for a vocalist succedded and Mish (ex-iXioN) joins the band. Since March 23rd, 2009 the band's name is Briff. The name has a double meaning: B as the chemical symbol of Boron + riff represent non limiting to metal music only but also experiments with electronics and samples. Phoneticaly it sounds similarly to "breathe" and relates to some new air, new freshness. April 1st, 2009 is regarded as the official starting day of the band. Since June 7th, 2009 on the band's site www.briff.pl and musical profiles there are five first songs available.
