Although terribly shy as a kid, Brie soon found comfort on stage doing school musicals and singing in a classical choir for years in her hometown, Vancouver, BC. Abandoning music to study painting, she couldn't stay away for too long, and began writing and performing her own songs 6 years ago. In 2006, Brie packed her bags and moved to Montreal to pursue her artistic career. As a full-time member of The Unsettlers, who have just released a double album titled, Oil & Blood, she remains very busy writing, teaching kids and honing her own sound along with Her Othermen. Releasing a follow up to her debut solo EP "Then We Learn To Dance" in the spring of 2012, Brie will be touring the country with her new album. Stay tuned! In 2011 Brie was awarded a bursary from the Centre St-Ambroise as well as a project grant from the Conseils des Artes et des Lettre du Quebec which both helped in the completion of her new album!
