Brianne Sidonie Desaulniers (born October 1, 1989), known professionally as Brie Larson, is an American actress, singer, and filmmaker. She began her career with supporting roles in comedic productions during her teenage years before transitioning to leading roles in independent films and major studio productions. Her awards include an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Primetime Emmy Award. In 2019, Time magazine included her in its list of the 100 most influential people in the world. At the age of six, Larson became the youngest student admitted to a training program at the American Conservatory Theater. She began her acting career in 1998 with an appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno". She later had a regular role in the sitcom "Raising Dad" (2001β2002) and pursued a music career, releasing the album "Finally Out of P.E." (2005).
