Brian Theodore Tyler (born May 8, 1972) is an American composer, conductor, musician, arranger, and record producer known for his work in film, television, and video game scores. Over his career, he has composed music for seven films in the "Fast & Furious" franchise, "Rambo," "Eagle Eye," "The Expendables" trilogy, "Iron Man 3," "Now You See Me," "Avengers: Age of Ultron" (co-composed with Danny Elfman), "Crazy Rich Asians," and "The Super Mario Bros. Movie." Tyler arranged a new version of the Universal Pictures logo fanfare originally composed by Jerry Goldsmith for the studio's 100th anniversary, which debuted with the film "The Lorax" (2012). He also composed the Marvel Studios logo theme used from 2013 to 2016, which premiered with "Thor: The Dark World" (2013), for which he also composed the score. Tyler composed the NFL Sunday Countdown Theme for ESPN and the Formula One theme, which is also used in Formula 2 and Formula 3. He has composed music for television series including "Yellowstone." Tyler won the International Film Music Critics Association Composer of the Year award in 2014. His composition for the film "Last Call" earned him an Emmy nomination, a gold record, and membership in the music branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. As of 2017, films scored by Tyler had grossed approximately 12 billion dollars worldwide, ranking him among the top 10 highest-grossing film composers.
