Brent Carver is a Canadian actor, born in 1951 in Cranbrook, British Columbia. He frequently performs in Toronto, annually as a part of the CanStage acting company. He has been in various Broadway and Off-Broadway performances, such as "My Life With Albertine," "Parade," and "Kiss of the Spiderwoman," for which he won his Tony award for the role of Molina in 1993. He also originated the role of Gandolf in "Lord of the Rings" in Toronto. He has guest-starred on the Canadian program, "Due South," for which he won a Gemini award for his role as Bruce Spender in the episode, 'I Coulda Been a Defendant.' He also guest-starred in the finale of "Street Legal" in the episode, 'Street Legal Finale: The Last Rights,' for which he won a Gemini award. He has also been in films such as "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," "Ararat," and "Elizabeth Rex," for which he won both a Gemini Award and an ACTRA Toronto Award. This is an incredibly talented actor who should not be missed in any of his many credits and talents.
