Artist
Breaklose was created in Paris, France in 2002 after Alex (vocals, guitar, keyboards, programming, piano) & Mehdi (guitar, bass, keyboards, piano, programming, melodica, backing vocals) met. They spent the first few months writing songs together, then started recording their first album in May 2003. It took them two years and a half before they could release Always Late Enough on Strangelight Records in January 2006. Meanwhile they played a few gigs in France & Belgium, supporting bands such as Anathema, Antimatter or Brant Bjork & The Bros. They then spent a couple more years searching for the right line-up, playing with Hubert (ex-Rouge), Franck (Interria, ex-The Old Dead Tree), Duncan (Alternative 4, Íon, ex-Anathema, ex-Antimatter), Arnaud (Drifting Breed) until they were joined by Flo (Ghost Orchid - drums) in November 2007. After rehearsing for some time, they released a free Internet EP. Light Pollution came out in April 2008. After Mehdi relocated to Berlin, Germany in July 2008, Breaklose has come to a hiatus, but never disbanded. Until new material is recorded, all members are still musically active: Alex plays in Parlor Snakes, Mehdi in Town's Syndrome and VÆV, and Flo in Copenhague.
