Brazilian Love Affair Project is the evolution of a project created in the Nineties called “Brazilian Love Affair, made of brand new musicians, 4 different mother-tongue singers (Brazilian, English, Italian and French), all friends knowing each other since a lifetime; each of them has brought his own best contribution as far as professionalism and genial ideas are concerned. The project includes a mix of genres such as “bossa nova”, soul, jazz and often even lounge, which also leads to pop music; each member has his own importance, starting from Stefano “Colombo’s Touch” and Elio Baldi Cantù, with whom he arranged the tracks, to the guitar player Diego Polimeno play all guitars –, Alberto Viganò, a worldwide level bass player, Alex “Titti” Mancini playing the harmonica, together with the friendly participation of the great sax player Giancarlo Porro and the marvelous voices of the singers: Silvana Nunes, Martina Musajo, Joanna Cassino and Marianna Stornelli, who also played the accordion, up to “Paulinho” Pasquariello, who edited the album’s mixing. This work’s evolutions lays in its sound’s research and in the choice of such records as, for instance, the “bossa” version of “Lá vem o sol” (“Here comes the sun”) – a Beatles’ cover –, a very delicate lounge of “Private eyes” – a Daryl Hall & John Oates’ cover –, a very warm multilingual version of “Aguas de março” and “Nostalgia del futuro” (“Saudade do futuro”), an inedited masterpiece written by Mario Venuti, up to “Brazilian
