Brave Belt was a Canadian rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba, consisting of Randy Bachman, his former Guess Who bandmate, Chad Allan, his brother Rob and C.F. "Fred" Turner. They released two albums for Reprise Records in the early 1970s titled "Brave Belt 1" and "Brave Belt 2." They scored four minor hits in Canada, including the Chad Allan penned "Dunrobin's Gone." When Allan left the band in 1971, Brave Belt essentially reformed as Bachman-Turner Overdrive, with Fred Turner & the Bachman brothers, Randy, Robbie & Tim.
