1998, Samara. Twins Borya and Kostya set up a band and called it “Grim Twins”. 2001, Moscow. The brothers showed up in Moscow and appeared at different sites with one of their projects, Bossanova band, and at the same time delivered their demo tracks to radio stations and record labels. 2004, St.Petersburg - Novosibirsk - Moscow. A St.Petersburg friend of Grim Twins sent their demo tracks to Novosibirsk. Later, several tracks were sent to Moscow in the form of a postscript to the records of one local group, and then by chance they got to producer Leonid Burlakov. 23 October 2004, Moscow. Kazansky railway station. For the first time, the 23-year old twins met in person with Burlakov. After 6 days, they signed an agreement on cooperation. Within one night at the “Sputnik” studio, the guys recorded several new songs not yet heard by Burlakov and became acquainted with their sound producer Oleg Chubykin. End-November 2004, Moscow. The final structure of the band was formed, drums and bass were recorded. Along with album work, the brothers were also preparing for concert performances. Five songs, namely “Norway”, “Summer”, “Second Half”, “Eylashes”, and “Smash To Pieces” made up the first demo disc of the band. 20 December 2004, Moscow. 16 Tons Club The Grim Twins performed in the party “Megahouse Fresh Blood”.
