Brückenbauer are a four-piece indie band from the town of Joure, The Netherlands. They play watertight, to-the-point indie pop tunes with distinctly jazzy overtones, big catchy hooks, propulsive grooves and all that. Their first EP, the eponymous Brückenbauer, was released in early 2012. The song Shoot The Other One was recorded and released in late 2012, and became a minor indie hit in the Alternative Dutch Charts. Their second EP, also eponymously titled, was released in may 2013, and spawned two well received video clips. In 2015 the band released another single (Soft top), which was produced by Ken Stringfellow (The Posies, R.E.M.) The band resides in Joure, Fryslan, The Netherlands and is one of the prominent bands in the 8501-area DIY-scene.
