There are multiple artists tracked as "Brás Cubas" on Last.fm. Following are two: 1) Brás Cubas was a Brazilian Alternative Rock Band from Campinas, São Paulo. Their song “NOW” is based on the instrumental from the French Band DEAD POP CLUB (song “NUMBER 8”). Most of their compositions are in Portuguese, but “NOW” has its lyrics in English, as well as “INTO SHIT”, “TO FORGET” and “SET ME FREE”. Engaged lyrics and an alternative/grunge rock influence may define their songs, strongly based on bands like Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Temple of the Dog… with some Brazilian mix on top. They have been playing together since 2005, although is currently on a hiatus. The members were: Fabio Gramani (Vocals and Guitar), Fernando Tueio (Drums), Allan Cassoli (Bass Guitar) and Allan Ribeiro (Lead Guitar). 2) Brás Cubas was a Brazilian experimental rock group also from Campinas. They had two formations: the first, from 2004 to 2005, consisted of the visual artists Caluã Pataca (guitar), Bruno Ishikawa (guitar, bass and vocals) and Luíz Valls (drums). In 2006 the urban economist Daniel Ávila joined the group on voice and guitar. The band broke up circa 2008.
