In a year where it seems a new boyband pops up left right and centre as people try and copy existing formats, Boy Banned are proving they are not your usual stereotype of “male pop group”. Sure, they have 4 members, all young good looking guys who sing and dance, but when you hear the music they’ve been making , you realise they aren’t the ‘mean and moody’ type that sing ballads or attempt the recent R’n’B meets chart-pop crossover. These guys have a great selection of hard hitting dance pop tracks that would fit quite comfortably in nightclub playlists, offering feel-good catchy songs that get the toes tapping. With their debut tracks hinting at the Euro-Pop vibe due to their Berlin launch, the following additions to their set list are heading back to the UK shores with an outstandingly good track called “Hot Spot” that is so current, it’s almost a raisin.
