Artist
Boss Capone (real name: Boudwijn van Trigt) is a contemporary Dutch 'early reggae' artist. Van Trigt is also the frontman of Dutch reggae outfit, The Upsessions. Following his band's début album, Van Trigt decided to lock himself up in his attic to record a solo album, a celebration of his love for Jamaica's 'early reggae'. He came down from the attic with a full album: Another 15 Dance Floor Crashers, an album inspired by Jamaica's music scene from the sixties and early seventies, the days of the Trojan and Studio One sound. It was released in the Summer of 2013 on the prestigious Excelsior Recordings indie label. The Boss Capone touring band features members of The Upsessions, Beatbusters, Rude Rich and the High Notes and the backing band of Mark Foggo.
