Boris Novković was born December 25, 1967. in Sarajevo. He grew up in a family where both of his parents were involved in music. His father Đorđe Novkovic is one of the most important authors in the croatian pop music and his mother Ozana is a music teacher. He received the mandatory school education and was training soccer. He was a member of the Junior soccer club Dinamo from the age of 12 until the age of 15. He recorded his first album "Kuda idu izgubljene djevojke" in 1986. The album was sold in 120 000 copies. His second album "Jači od sudbine" which was produced by Niksa Bratos came out in 1987. This album was sold in over 160 000 copies and is his most sold album. Boris Novkovic performed at the International festival in Malasia ( Kulala Lumpur) for which he qualified by winnig the second place with the song "Dajana" at the Croatian Eurosong contest in 1989. The first place was won by Tatjana Mrduljas-Tajči with the song "Hajde da ludujemo". He performed on almost every croatian music festival: Festival of pop music "SPLIT", Croatian adriatic music festival , Croatian radio festival, "Zagrebfest". He also won a number of prises. He won the first place at the Crotian music festival 1999. in Vodice and "Zagrebfest" in 2001. Boris was awarded with the most important croatian music award "Zlatna ptica" in 1999. and is acknowledged as a croatian music artist.
