Boogie Hookers Formed: 1997, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany Members: Andreas Koch (guitar), Dirk Wiese (bass), Golo Königshoff (drums), Fatman Arne [Arne Hörster] (vocals) Album: Can't Play Traditional A beautiful album, as the name suggests, boogie is played here. The boys make no secret of who their role models are with the first song: "Tribute to Billy G." alludes to ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons. We continue with the Johnny Winter classic: Johnny Guitar. Worth mentioning is the original composition: I need more sleep, with Ernst W.Wind on the vocals. So if you like it loud, rocky, boozy, you'll get your money's worth here. The band comes from somewhere in OWL (Ost-Westfalen-Lippe) and consists of Andreas Koch (g, voc), Dirk Wiese (b) and Golo Königshoff (dr), occasionally accompanied by a few musicians. In existence since 1997, this is their debut album from '98. As the title says, they can't do traditional blues... but boogie. The 60s classic “Walking the Dog” turns into a grooving boogie.
