Bonus Level Boss are a two-piece instrumental hard rock band from Watford, England. The band consists of Vito Innocenti (guitars, bass) and Jake Craddock (drums). Formed in 2005, the band wrote the majority of "Mega-Disaster" in Jake's garage, recorded on a poor quality laptop microphone using a drum-kit with silencing pads on and (for the most part) a Yamaha Pacifica. While early tracks like Mega-Disaster were loosely structured jam tracks, later tracks like Disputed Ownership and Hazard showcased the band's ability to write short, catchy, riff-driven metal songs. The band's style was heavily influenced from Vito's taste in music, drawing inspiration from Metallica, Pantera and Megadeth, whilst incorporating some progressive influences from bands like Mastodon. Craddock's drumming style was strongly influenced by Foo Fighters frontman and ex-Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl. The band played a single gig to a crowd of around 60 people, opening for The Unruly Gentlemen, a local ska band that both members were also a part of. One crowd member reportedly admitted that some of the riffs were "pretty cool"; the vast majority of the crowd were paying very little attention. After a brief hiatus, Bonus Level Boss reformed in 2010 to record an EP in an actual studio. Hazard, Terraformation and Relinquish were recorded in higher quality than ever before, but were sadly marred by poor mixing and mastering in places. The band has since relocated to www.myspace.com/alcatrazindustries un
