Bodhi Khalid belongs to the so-called New Age group of musicians. The folk-rock musician was brought up near Hamburg. He discovered the spititual dimensions of music from traveling to India and from meditation. Bodhi Khalid avoids using typical New Age keyboards and he prefers the authentic sound and a nice groove. He plays 12-stringed Jairi guitar. The album Mother Earth Carry Me was released in 1997, of which 10.000 copies were sold worldwide. On this album he worked with Tony Sheridan.
